Printing Photos? Here are my top places in Toronto.

How many photos have you taken already this summer?

You might not be quite like me (I take at least 100 a day), but I bet it’s a lot! Now here’s the real question: Do you ever go back and look at them? There are nights when I sit on the couch with my daughter, scrolling through the years on my phone. We laugh at our goofy smiles, talk about where we were, what we were doing. It’s such a gift to relive those moments together. My phone and camera roll feel like a time capsule! But in the last couple of years, I’ve started printing our photos, not just the big milestones or birthdays, but the little moments too. Trips, sunsets, messy dinners. All of it. Because I truly believe beautiful memories aren’t meant to live on your phone. They deserve to be celebrated, framed, and displayed.

So join me this summer, and PRINT YOUR PHOTOS!

This week, I’m working on a photo book from a recent trip with my kids. If you want to follow along, I’ll be sharing my process (including the dos and don’ts!) over on Instagram.

Let’s make memories that last, one photo at a time.

Below you will find my TOP places to print images in Toronto.

1. Downtown Camera

📍 89 Queen St East
www.downtowncamera.com
This is my go-to for all things photography. They sell and develop film, carry cameras (new and used), and have the BEST team. You can upload your images online or go in person. They offer photobooks and same-day printing too. Reliable, friendly, and always consistent.

2. Henry’s

📍 185 Church Street
www.henrys.com
A great one-stop shop for everything photography-related, including printing. You can upload online or go in-store. They also offer books and fine art printing. A great mix of convenience and quality.

3. Pikto

🌐 Online (formerly downtown)
pikto.com
Pikto is one of my long-time favourites for both everyday and fine art printing. You can order online, and they ship quickly. Their platform is easy to use, and they offer photobooks, albums, wall displays, and more.

4. Blacks

🌐 Online only
www.blacks.ca
Remember seeing these stores all over Toronto? While the physical shops are gone, the online store is still going strong. I once made a custom puzzle for my mom here—it turned out great! Perfect for creative gift ideas.

5. Annex Photo

📍 557 Bloor St W

https://annexphoto.ca
This little shop is a hidden gem in the Annex. It’s my local go-to for quick prints and film processing. They offer same-day printing, and while the selection is smaller than bigger stores, the staff is friendly and the results are reliable.

6. Posterjack

🌐 Online (Canada & U.S.)
www.posterjack.ca
An excellent choice for creative photo printing! Posterjack offers unique formats like canvas, metal, wood, and acrylic. Be sure to use the Canadian site: .ca.

7. Toronto Image Works

📍 80 Spadina Ave, Suite 207
www.torontoimageworks.com
If you’re looking for fine art printing, this is a top-tier option. They specialize in high-end, large-scale prints and offer a wide selection of fine art papers. Just note: they don’t print small orders.

8. Prolab Canada

📍 884 Queen St E
www.prolabcanada.com
I haven’t used them yet—but after exploring their site, they’re next on my list! They offer archival quality and professional services, which makes them a great option for photographers and artists.

PLACES I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Sometimes convenience wins, but when it comes to printing memories, quality matters. Here are a couple of spots I’d skip:

1. Walmart

Quick and cheap, but in my experience, the print quality just doesn’t hold up.

2. Costco

I love Costco for many things (hello, snacks and bulk buys!), but printing photos isn’t one of them. For just a bit more, you can get way better quality elsewhere.

LET’S MAKE YOUR MEMORIES LAST!

Your photos deserve to be seen, not just stored. Whether it’s a framed print, a photobook, or a creative gift, printing your images brings those memories to life in a whole new way.
