Hi! I’m Michele.

I am a Toronto-based lens-based artist whose practice is rooted in finding beauty in the ordinary and transforming the familiar into something quietly extraordinary. Working across photography and sculpture, I reimagine simple, everyday materials to create work that is both playful and evocative, blending whimsy with a sense of comfort and intimacy.

My work explores themes of home, memory, and domesticity, drawing attention to moments and objects that often go unnoticed. Process is central to my practice. I allow curiosity and experimentation to guide the work, embracing imperfection, play, and discovery as essential parts of making.

Through my work, I invite viewers to slow down and reconsider the everyday through a lens of wonder and imagination. My practice is about noticing—light, color, texture, and the small details that carry meaning. My work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, creating moments of connection that resonate across diverse audiences through a balance of authenticity, play, and quiet reflection.

I reimagine everyday materials to create work that feels playful, comforting, and a little unexpected. Working across photography and craft-based sculpture, I explore ideas of home, memory, and domestic life, turning the familiar into something new. My work has been shown nationally and internationally, and I hope it invites curiosity, warmth, and a sense of wonder.
